Domestic Violence Restraining Orders (DVRO)
A Domestic Violence Restraining Order can request court orders to help protect you and, in many situations, your children. We help you prepare a clear, organized, filing-ready DVRO packet using Judicial Council forms and supporting documents you provide.
Common requests included in DVRO paperwork may involve:
- Personal conduct orders (no harassment, no contact, no threats)
- Stay-away orders (home, work, school, vehicle)
- Move-out orders (in certain situations)
- Child custody & visitation requests (when applicable)
- Property and debt issues listed on court forms (as appropriate)
- Firearm-related court orders (when included in the forms)
- Support-related requests (when included in the forms and applicable to your case)
What we do for your DVRO packet (document preparation services):
- Prepare the DVRO request forms based on your answers and your written statements
- Format your declaration(s) clearly, with dates, headings, and numbered paragraphs
- Organize exhibits (photos, screenshots, messages, police reports, medical paperwork) into a neat packet
- Prepare service-related paperwork (proofs of service are critical in restraining order matters)
- Prepare “after hearing” paperwork when you need orders issued, modified, renewed, or ended
Example DVRO forms often used in California include forms such as DV-100, DV-109, DV-110, DV-130, and related proof-of-service forms (your exact forms depend on your situation and the court’s requirements).
Important: We type and assemble documents at your direction. We cannot tell you what you should request, what to say, or how the judge will rule. |
